Complete work; the three deliveries in one volume, Quarto (33 x 24.7 cm), bound with leather spine and gilt titles, preserving the publisher's original covers. Good copy, with a few very few foxing leaves; with bookplate by Enrique Arana. Delivery I. Zoology: XXIV pp., (includes Cover, v. in bl.), pp. 1-168, 4 plates, 1 sheet.

Apart from the military and geopolitical repercussions, the expedition was accompanied by a group of men of science; About which Roca expressed: "they have followed the marches until the farthest end of my excursion and their assiduous and tireless contraction despite the consequent fatigue of a long way (...) promise precious deductions, new classifications, results that by themselves they could give importance to the expedition before ourselves and abroad". The work finally saw the light in 1882.

Rare, locate it complete; Part 1 (Zoology) was written by Dr. Adolfo Doering, with the collaboration of Dr. Carlos Berg and Eduardo Holmberg. Part II (Botany) was co-authored by Dr. Pablo G.Lorentz and Gustavo Niederlein. And the third and last Part (Geology), the work of Dr. Adolfo Doering. It is known that, due to lack of funds, a final installment was left unpublished.
