Complete work, the two volumes bound in a volume, Quarto, (26.4 cm x 16.7 cm). Second Volume: 472 pp., (includes Cover, v. in bl.), 3 h. of Index. Copy in good condition.

Second edition of the first historical essay written by an Argentine author, with a Biography of Deán Fúnes, signed by “A friend of the servants of the Fatherland”, whose author —for Leopoldo Durán and Mario Tesler— was Mariano Lozano. This second edition is presented increased with five texts: Patriotic Prayer of 1814; Manifesto of the sovereign Congress of 1819; Constitution of the United Provinces in South America; Appendix to the Constitution; Act of Independence of the United Provinces in South America and Act of the foundation of the city of Tucumán.

The first version was released in the years 1816/1817, almost immediately running out of print, which made it extremely difficult to consult it. Finally, in 1856 a new publication was decided, this time under the control of Justo Maeso as editor. Also very rare today, the one we present here, complete with Funes's engraving.
